Blogs that should've been done months ago....but I neglected them just to get my demo at least semi-decent..

So I have been a very bad blogger, I have completely neglected this poor little page. I finally found the time to put two, not one, but TWO different blogs..AT THE SAME TIME...so here comes the blogs


DRAWING A SCENE

Since I have started this course I have learned a lot about windmills are a better source of energy, and how it helps reduce air pollution. I came to learn this by going on to the wonderful (somewhat) informational internet and got this wide amount of knowledge on windmills and air pollution.

ADDING SCENES

I am using visual storytelling by creating a lot of different environments. I have some where it's all bright and colorful, and the next one is a bit darker due to the pollution that is going on. This will help the users see how having different ways to have energy really helps save the environment. The game that I found was helpful to teach me this concept well was Third-World Farmer, and Zeitgeist. Third-World Farmer helped me out cause you need to make good decisions in your life, and Zeitgeist helped show how a moving action game is supposed to look like.


I know, I know...I finally fixed my blog. Now the world won't spiral into an endless apocalypse.. :D

The Team that will "HAX" your System

This is the awesometastic team of LEET HAX.

Cody is the content expert/client, information designer, interaction designer, content developer/web writer, and other web team roles.

Lauren (which is me) is the project manager information architect, visual designer, programmer, instructional designer. All of these wonderful jobs that I have is something that I can be good at. I have decent leadership skills, and I'm pretty good at visual stuff (I can make things look pretty awesome). So I believe that I will be able to take these jobs and completely pwn them. I can't wait to work in a team, I'll be able to finally relax and watch my partner in crime Cody do all the work (not really). But I think it will be great because we both have similar ideas and stuff that we want to just throw into the game and watch it come to life. I believe that LEET HAX will have an EPIC WIN game, and definately NOT an epic fail game. Hmm...how will it be working with that Cody kid...I think it will be great (considering we're together :D). But I think that his lack of patience and his easily frustration of flash will get the best of him at times and that can be hard to fix...but I shouldn't be the one saying that since my patience is equally bad and if not worse. If I have something right the first time and it doesn't work the next time, eventhough I have everything corrrect, then I personally want to throw the computer out the window. What we would do to overcome such an annoying and frustrating obstacle is that we would have to just quit for a while and then try it again. Well this is the team LEET HAX and we will have the most uber pwning game ever..

The one game....TO RULE THEM ALL!!

This is just a little bit of info to tell about the epic game that will be created. I am mainly excited about the fact that I will be able to just create a game. I've always wanted to make some kind of game..even if it's just a little flash game. I am also looking forward to learning about all the different codes used in the game.

Mini Game Stuff

When I first started the project, I thought it would be easy....I was wrong..It was simple in the beginning but when the code needed more detail, and if one little bracket was out of place, it caused the whole thing to screw up. The best part of this was actually learning how to use code..The worst part is not making the code right..and spending forever trying to fix it.

Our Gaming Topic

I'm Lauren and my topic for my game is Global Warming. The links that I have found will help me with researching, because they will tell me more things about global warming that I never knew about. They will show me about wind power and how that helps stop the harmful effects of global warming.

Gaming Opinion

The two genres that I really liked was action and strategy. The reason why I liked action was because, you actually got to move around using the arrow keys, and you had to overcome obstacles. That kept me into wanting to play it. The reason why i liked strategy was because, you had to make some difficult decisions in order to survive, and if you didn't make the right choice you lost. I think it would work really well if I were to create a game with both action and strategy. You would have to make decisions while trying to get to a certain place in order to win. So my game would be an epic win.

My thoughts on Globaloria...and Internet Safety

My thoughts on Globaloria are that it is a very good learning system....It has helped me with learning how to use codes to create a wiki...and once we start learning how to create games, it will help me learn all the different codes I need to make a cool game.

Internet Safety is very important...You don't want creepy stalkers following your every move on the internet..and if you post a lot of information about yourself, that stalker might even come to where you live and get you, and then you might never be heard from again...So don't post anything that you don't want people looking at or any personal info about yourself...
